Slim Gritty is an Australian singer, songwriter and musician, who in variable line-ups is no stranger to gigs and festivals both home and abroad. Slim draws heavily on the timeless energy of the roots Americana genre. In particular Rockabilly and the roots-music styles of Honky Tonk, Hillbilly, RnB and Blues that merged to create its initial spark. Slim then adds his own unique musical touch and crafted lyrical stories with a present day relevance, sometimes poignant, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, always gritty.
